Lookups & Glossary

Every word you look up is saved. Star the ones worth keeping.

Lupa keeps a private record of every word you've looked up so the next time that word appears, you'll know you've seen it before. No setup required.

Where your lookups live

Open the User Menu and tap Lookups. Every word you've looked up is there, newest first, grouped by day. Each entry shows:

  • The word and its language.
  • A short snippet of the definition.
  • An optional snapshot of the page it came from (if you have Save Media enabled).

Your Glossary — words worth keeping

Tap the star next to any lookup — in the definition card or in Lookups — and the word lands in your Glossary. The Glossary is your curated reference of words you've decided are worth remembering. It syncs across your devices when you're signed in.

Use the Glossary for:

  • Words you want to see again next week.
  • Rare or beautiful words you want to keep.
  • Words you're trying to internalize while reading a specific book.

Sync and privacy

  1. Signed out: lookups and Glossary live only on this device.
  2. Signed in: both sync across every device where you've signed in with the same account.
  3. Delete an entry in Lookups and it's removed from your Glossary too — everywhere, within seconds.
