Widgets and the Lock Screen
Put Lupa where your eyes already are — the Home Screen and the Lock Screen.
The fastest way to look up a word is the way you don't have to think about. Lupa's widgets sit on your Home Screen and Lock Screen so the camera is one tap away — and so a word from your Glossary stays in view between readings.
Today's Word
A medium or large widget that shows a single word from your Glossary, its definition, and an example sentence. The word rotates each day. Tap it to open the full card; tap the camera mark to start a fresh lookup.
If your Glossary is empty, Today's Word stays quiet until you've starred something.
Voice Search
A small widget that opens Lupa directly into voice selection. Useful on a Lock Screen — wake the phone, press the widget, say the word, you're in.
Voice selection itself is a Premium feature; the widget is free to place.
The Lupa mark
A small Home Screen widget and a circular Lock Screen widget, both showing Lupa's "L" mark. Either one opens the camera with a single tap. The circular widget fits in any of the four Lock Screen complication slots.
How to add a widget
- Press and hold on your Home Screen or Lock Screen until the icons jiggle.
- Tap the + in the top-left.
- Search for Lupa and pick the widget you want.
- Tap Add Widget and drop it where it belongs.
